Mysore/Mysuru: The Women and Child Welfare Department has invited entries from individuals and organisations, who have worked in the field of child welfare for a minimum of five years, for conferment of State Award as part of Children’s Day celebration. The applicants must have worked in areas such as Child Health and Nutrition, Child Education, Art, Culture, Special Children, Child Protection and Child Rights for a minimum period of five years.
Each of the individual awards carries a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 and a citation and each of the Institutional/ Organisational awards carries a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh and a citation. The prescribed entry forms can be collected from the Department Office located at Krishnadevaraya Circle (KD Circle), High Tension Line Road, Vijayanagar Second Stage, Mysuru-17 , which must be filled up in Kannada and submitted along with a soft copy of supporting records to the Department office before Sept. 10.
Also, the entries must accompany a Police certification that the applicant individual or the Institution/ Organisation does not have a criminal case registered against them. For details, contact Ph: 0821-2495432.
