Mysuru: Karnataka Media Academy has invited entries from journalists for conferment of Endowment Awards for three years — 2019, 2020 and 2021.
The awards are instituted by Bengaluru’s Abhimaani Prakashana and Mysuru’s ‘Mysuru Digantha’ newspaper.
The entries for Abhimaani Prakashana Award should carry articles/reports on ‘Social Problems’ published in State-level and District-level newspapers in the period from Jan. 2019 to Dec. 2019 for 2019 award; between Jan. 2020 and Dec. 2020 for 2020 award and between Jan. 2021 and Sept. 2021 for this year.
Similar is the case with ‘Mysuru Digantha’ Award for 2019, 2020 and 2021, where the articles or reports on ‘Human Problems’ should be published in the respective years.
The award is open for journalists from Print and Electronic media, whose articles or reports are published or broadcast. The articles, which do not have the byline containing the name of the reporter, should be certified by the Editor of the concerned newspaper, in which the article or report has been published.
The awardees will receive a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.
The entries, with references clearly marked as Abhimaani Award – 2019, 2020, 2021 and Mysuru Digantha Award – 2019, 2020, 2021, as the case may be, must be sent to the Secretary, Karnataka Media Academy, Podium Block, Vishweswaraya Centre, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Veedhi, Bengaluru-1, by Nov.23.
