The Department of Sericulture has invited applications for ‘Reshme Krishi’ Award for the year 2019-20 from the district sericulturists. The applicants must have a minimum one acre mulberry farm, a separate place to grow the worms. The yield must be 65 kg from 100 cocoons; and the silk nest production per acre must not be less than 500 kg. Interested farmers must furnish the copies of Reshme Passbook and details of purchase of cocoons and Chakki and sale of silk nest. Eligible farmers must collect the applications from local Sericulture Extension Officer, Office of Sericulture Assistant Director, Mysuru and submit the same by enclosing relevant documents.
