Poetry and Prose contest for students
Mysore/Mysuru: Samatha Adhyayana Kendra has invited entries from women writers whose works are first published between 2019 and 2022, for Vijaya Dabbe Literary award, instituted in the name of late writer and critic Dr. Vijaya Dabbe.
The books, which are submitted as thesis or have received plan funding, will not be considered for the award, which carries a cash prize of Rs.25,000 and a citation.
The interested women writers should send their entries accompanied by three copies of their books to the address mentioned below before Apr.15: Vijaya Rao, No.861,14th Main, Vijayanagar I Stage, Mysuru-17. For more details, call Mob: 98454-22855.
Deadline extended
Meanwhile, the deadline for registration to the State-level Poetry and Prose contest for College students organised by Samatha Adhyayana Kendra in memory of Dr. Vijaya Dabbe, has been extended to Mar.15.
Interested students can send their two-self composed poems or one story, which are unpublished yet. Stories should not exceed 2,500 words. The maximum age limit for participant students is 26 years. The entries, which are acknowledged by the heads of the respective educational institutions of students, must be sent to Vijaya Rao, No.861, 14th Main, Vijayanagar I Stage, Mysuru-17, before Mar.15.
