Entries invited for singing competition

Mysuru: Shivamogga-based Guruguha Sangeetha Mahavidyalaya has invited young singers  to take part in the two-day singing competition titled ‘Nanna Haadu Daasara Haadu’ to be organised from Feb. 16 at Kuvempu Rangamandira at Shivamogga.

Addressing press persons at Patrakarthara Bhavan here recently, Mahavidyalaya Convenor Sringeri H.S. Nagaraj said the contests were being held jointly by Mahavidyalaya and Bengaluru-based Siri Bhakthi Channel.

“The winners of the competition will be given a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh, Rs. One lakh for the runner-up and Rs. 50,000 for the third place. Those, who have already been recognised as artistes are not allowed to take part. Participants will be provided travel allowance, boarding and lodging facilities for a day,” he added.
