Strongly condemning the move to withdraw the super-speciality treatment facility to ESI beneficiares, the ESI Beneficiaries Welfare Committee (Mysuru Division) has urged the Union Government to continue the facility.
In a press release, the Committee said that crores of workers employed in factories, shops, business and commercial establishments, etc., were covered under ESI, the State-run healthcare provider. But the Central Government, as a new policy, effective from Jan. 1, 2017, has decided to grant super-speciality treatment facility only after two years of enrolment.
This move will badly affect crores of ESI beneficiaries, the release said and urged the Government to continue the old policy, which allowed the beneficiaries to avail the super-speciality treatment facility just 90 days after being covered. For details contact Mob:98454-50065 or 90363-27600.
