ESI Hospital doctor dies after car rams into electric pole

His doctor-wife had predeceased him 6 months ago

Mysuru: A doctor, working at ESI Hospital in city, died of injuries at a private hospital here. The doctor had sustained serious injuries after the car he was driving rammed into a roadside electric pole on the Outer Ring Road near Manasi Nagar on Wednesday evening.

The deceased is Dr. Shivakumar (35), a native of Bannur, who was residing at Yaraganahalli in city.

On Wednesday evening, Dr. Shivakumar was proceeding on the Outer Ring Road in his newly purchased car towards Manasi Nagar on some work, when he lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the roadside electric pole. Dr. Shivakumar, who sustained serious injuries due to the impact, was rushed to a private hospital nearby by passersby, where he succumbed to injuries. Dr. Shivakumar’s wife, also a doctor, had predeceased him six months ago and the couple were married about one-and-a-half-years ago.

Siddarthanagar Traffic Police have registered a case.
