Essay contest on Basavaraj Kattimani’s short stories

Mysuru: Basavaraj Kattimani Foundation is conducting an essay writing competition on the short stories of noted Kannada writer and novelist Basavaraj Kattimani on his centenary celebrations (1919-2019).

Interested may send their essay after taking a critical look and describing the message, pith and moral given by Kattimani in his stories after typing neatly on computer not exceeding  2,700 words.

A cash prize of Rs.10,000, Rs.7,000 and Rs.5,000 will be given for the best three essays selected by a panel of judges.

A consolation prize of Rs.2,500 will also be given to two or four essays. This will be published in a souvenir to be brought out by the Foundation.
