Mysore/Mysuru: Kannada rap songs, a fashion show, and a musical night by music directors duo Salim-Sulaiman set the stage on fire at Yuva Dasara held at Maharaja’s College grounds in the city last evening.
Actor and rap singer Alok Babu, leading the ‘All Ok’ band, presented foot-tapping Kannada rap songs. However, what truly resonated with the audience was a heartfelt tribute to the late ‘Power Star’ Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar as they sang ‘Bombe Helutaithe…’ from the film ‘Rajakumara.’ Moved by the tribute, spectators lit up their mobile phone torches and swayed to the rhythm, remembering the actor ahead of his second death anniversary on Oct. 29.
A fashion show led by Palash Biddappa’s team played cupid, with models showcasing traditional and Western outfits while walking the ramp to background music. The youthful audience thoroughly enjoyed the show. The ‘Four Five Six’ dance troupe used their performance to create awareness about national integrity.
Anchor Anushree energised the crowd by greeting them with a lively ‘Hello Mysuru,’ while singers Pancham and Ajay entertained the audience with hit songs like “Sanje Bhanu Kempagide” and ‘Khali Quarter.’ The Bollywood music director duo, Salim-Sulaiman, created a magical atmosphere by performing songs from films like ‘Kurbaan’ and ‘Murder-2.’
