Ex-CFTRI Chief Scientist donates Cell Counter to Asha Kirana

Mysuru: Dr. Renu Agarwal, Chief Scientist (Retd.), CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, has donated a Cell Counter to Asha Kirana Hospital in city recently.

The equipment, which costs about Rs. 2 lakh, was inaugurated by Dr. G.V. Basavaraja, National President of Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP).

The equipment Mispa HX50 is the 5 Part Haematology Analyser with 3rd Generation Technology using Nucleic Acid Fluorescence Staining.

It can analyse 60 samples in one hour and is very sensitive in differentiating various cells in the blood like leukocytes, platelets, RBC, WBC and others.

This equipment will help doctors to provide a comprehensive picture of the patients’ haematological health in very less time.
