Ex-MP Kodandaramaiah to re-join JD(S)

Former MP P. Kodandaramaiah is likely to return to the JD(S) fold shortly.

Kodandaramaiah, an IPS Officer who had served as Bengaluru City Police Commissioner in the 1990s was elected from Chitradurga Lok Sabha seat, contesting as a Janta Dal candidate in 1996.

But after a few years, Kodandaramaiah, quit the JD(S) to join the Congress.

Kodandaramaiah, who kept a low profile in the Congress, has stayed off from politics for quite some time.

Now reviving his political ambitions, the former MP is said to have held talks with top JD(S) leaders to return to the party and contest next year’s general Assembly election from Hiriyur constituency in Chitradurga district.
