Mysuru: Two athletes from Mysuru excelled in the Yoddha Fighting Championship, a National-level Mixed Martial Arts Competition.
Basavesh won his fight against a fighter from Delhi while Kajal Naresh Kumar lost to a fierce opponent from Mumbai.
Basavesh, who now holds a career record of 6 wins, 1 loss, has also represented India in World Championship and will be fighting again in Malaysia later this year. Both athletes train at Genesis Mixed Martial Arts under Samith Bhat.
This event was organised as part of International Health, Sports and Fitness Festival (IHFF) at NESCO Exhibition Grounds in Mumbai. All the bouts were sanctioned by All India Mixed Martial Arts Federation (AIMMAF).
