Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner of Excise K.S. Murali said that the State Excise Department has achieved a target of Rs.14,313 crore in the period from April 2019 to November 2019 as against the set target of Rs.20,950 crore for the financial year 2019-20, which is a 8.2 percent increase as compared to the previous year.
He was speaking at a Mysuru Division Progress Review Meeting of the Excise Department held at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI) here recently.
Pointing out that stock lifting was recorded at 66.57 lakh cartons in the period from April to Nov. 2019, Murali said the stock lifting during the same period last year was 61.78 lakh cartons, which is an increase of 7.7 percent. He also called for speeding up Excise enforcements.
Excise Minister H. Nagesh presided. Excise Commissioner Dr. Y. Manjunath, Excise Superintendents and other officials from Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar and Chikkamagalur districts took part.
