Mysore/Mysuru: Following the discovery of a large quantity of drugs in a shed at Belavatha on Mysuru Outer Ring Road (ORR) and registration of the case by the Mumbai Police in Maharashtra, suspicion has grown that narcotics may have been supplied from Mysuru.
In a proactive step aimed at tightening surveillance and curbing drug-related offences across the city, Excise Dy.SP, Mysuru Sub-Division, conducted an inquiry of individuals previously accused in NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) cases within the Sub-Division, at the Mysuru Sub-Division Office.
During the inquiry, past accused were warned against re-engaging in NDPS-related activities, with officials emphasising that strict legal action would be taken against anyone found participating in narcotics crimes.
All Excise Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors and staff under the Mysuru Sub-Division were directed to closely monitor individuals involved in NDPS cases, identify and raid suspicious locations linked to drug sale, transport or production and promptly register cases if illegal activities are detected.
