The Excise Department, which conducted 122 raids between March 9 and 27, have registered a total of 36 cases and have arrested 21 persons besides seizing 85,260 litres of liquor, three vehicles and suspension of licences of two wine shops in Nanjangud taluk.
The raids were conducted following violation of rules, which was imposed in view of the forthcoming by-poll to Nanjangud Assembly constituency.
