‘Executive, Judiciary and Legislature under threat’

Mysuru: Expressing concern over the perceived threat to the very existence of the Executive, Judiciary and Legislature, senior journalist Krishna Prasad said that the nation is facing several crisis now.

He was speaking after inaugurating Prof. K. Ramdas Memorial programme organised by Desiranga Samskrutika Samsthe at Maneyangala in Kalamandira here yesterday.

Observing that the nation was in the grip of an ideological vacuum, Krishna Prasad said that under Narendra Modi’s regime, the voice of the upper classes is getting louder while at the same time, the rights of the weaker sections and minorities are being suppressed. Bemoaning the growth of RSS post-Independence, he said that the RSS was out to saffronise the entire country.

Lashing out at the Centre’s attempt to snatch away the people’s right to have food of their choice, the senior journalist bemoaned that there has been not much opposition to the Centre’s move.

Journalist R.B. Venkatesh Murthy released a book titled ‘Samaanatheya Kanasu Kaanuthaa…,’ while Janavadi Sanghatane State President K.S. Vimala distributed prizes to the winners of the essay contest,   on the occasion.

Senior Journalist Rajashekar Koti, Desiranga Samskrutika Samthe’s Krishna Janamana and others were present.
