Mysuru: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA) has asked officials of State and Central Departments, Zilla Panchayats, Boards and Corporations to vacate their stalls set up during Dasara at the Dasara Exhibition Grounds here.
In a press release, the CEO has stated that the Dasara Exhibition Grounds has been reserved for various functions, meetings and other programmes and hence departments have been asked to vacate the stalls completely, failing which land rent would be collected from them on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, when SOM visited the Dasara Exhibition Ground this morning, it was found that only three Departmental stalls were remaining while the rest of the stalls were vacated. KEA CEO N.M. Shashikumar said that 95% of the stalls have been vacated and the remaining stalls were being vacated and added that there are no programmes or functions scheduled as of now.
With garbage being scattered in the expo grounds, it would take another 10 days to get the venue completely cleaned.
