Expo of artefacts, paintings inaugurated

Mysuru: A variety of artefacts representing various art styles, grabbed eyeballs at the exhibition of artefacts organised by Dasara Fine Arts and Handicrafts Sub-Committee of Karnataka Exhibition Authority, at Kannada Karanji building, Dasara Exhibition ground in the city on Wednesday.

The Exhibition Authority has organised the exhibition as part of Dasara-2024, where the art lovers get to witness the creative talent of the artists. The replicas of Silver Jubilee Clock Tower and Mahishasura in a bottle, Mysore style of painting among several others, are sure to leave the visitors spellbound.

Apart from inaugurating the exhibition of artefacts, a painting expo was also inaugurated.

A total of 95 artists have exhibited their works depicting 150 various topics. The idol and painting of Lord Buddha disseminate a message of peace while the art works inside the bottle, created from the deft hands of Venkatesh from Saligrama in the district stand out among the art works. The oil painting from 80-year-old artist R. Venkatesh, a veteran in the realm, attract art buffs.

City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar inaugurated. MLC Dr. D. Thimmaiah, KEA Chairman Ayub Khan, President of Dasara Fine Arts and Handicrafts Sub-Committee Showkath Ali Khan and              others were present.
