Extend Garib Rath Express train upto Mysuru

Sir,

The train number 12735/12736 Yeswanthpur – Secunderabad Garib Rath Express operates as a Tri-Weekly Express train via Guntkal-Raichur-Wadi.

The train serves as an excellent overnight connectivity to both Bengaluru and Secunderabad. Mysuru also needs an immediate overnight connectivity to Secunderabad either through a daily or Tri-Weekly train arrangement.
At present only Bi-Weekly Mysuru-Jaipur Express connects to Kacheguda but it is of little help as it reaches at odd hours.

As Garib Rath Express runs on a Tri-Weekly basis, it is suggested to extend this train upto Mysuru with commercial stoppages enroute at Kengeri-Ramangaram-Maddur and Mandya.

The Railway authorities have already completed the doubling and electrification of the entire stretch of Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru rail corridor this year. Such a positive development will also serve as an ideal opportunity to the Railways to consider extending some of the other popular daily and non-daily trains beyond Bengaluru.

As Bengaluru is already connected by at least three daily trains and twelve non-daily trains to Secunderabad-Kacheguda, the suggested extension of Garib Rath Express upto Mysuru will not affect the existing connectivity. Further the train’s extension will only yield optimum patronage with expected high passenger occupancy/demand bound to both Bengaluru and Secunderabad from Mysuru.

The Railway administration is requested to consider the suggestion and implement the same in the interest of passengers.
