Mysore/Mysuru: Hemanthkumar Gowda, the new Chairman of Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA), has said that several programmes including fairs and expos will be organised in the Exhibition Grounds by observing all COVID-19 protocol.
In a press release here, he said the Authority was acting like a forum to promote art and culture of the State and achievements of Government of Karnataka. Plans are afoot to boost economic activities such as hosting exhibitions and fairs inside the Dasara Exhibition Grounds but by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the Union Health Ministry.
“I will discuss with the State Government to make the Dasara Exhibition premises active throughout the year by holding one or the other exhibitions. Besides, development and maintenance of wrestling arena, commercial complex, water fountains and parks will be taken up on priority,” he added. The Chairman said it has been proposed to construct protection wall for Raja Kaluve that passes through the exhibition grounds.
Resource mobilisation activities will be taken up. Instruction has been given to officials in this regard, he added.
