Farmer ends life

Hunsur: A 29-year-old farmer has committed suicide by hanging self at his house in Hanagodu village in the taluk this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Prashanth, son of Muthanna of Hanagodu.

Prashanth had reportedly borrowed a loan of Rs. 8 lakh from a bank in Hunsur town and also had taken money from private money lenders.

Prashanth, who had grown maize and ginger out of the loan, suffered a huge loss caused by incessant rains. Unable to repay the debt, he reportedly ended his life by hanging self when nobody was in the house, it is learnt.

The deceased Prashanth was married and had two kids. Hunsur Rural Police have registered a case in this regard.
