Hunsur: A farmer was killed, while another sustained injuries, when they were stung by a swarm of wild bees at Abbur near Hanagodu in the taluk this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shankaregowda (45), while the injured, who has been identified as Ramegowda, is being treated at Hanagodu hospital.
Shankaregowda and Ramegowda were cutting maize crop in the agriculture field owned by Shankaregowda, when they were attacked by the bees.
Hearing the screams of the two farmers, labourers working in fields close by rushed to the rescue of the duo and shifted them to Hanagodu hospital where Shankaregowda breathed his last.
