‘Farmers have played a major role in MyMUL growth’

Mysuru:  MyMUL President P.M. Prasanna said that the milk body will always stand by farmers and Milk Producer Co-operative Unions.

He was speaking after inaugurating the new building and BMC Centre built at a cost of Rs. 18 lakh at Byadarahalli in K.R. Nagar taluk on Monday.

Stating that Milk Producer Unions and farmers have played a big role in the growth of MyMUL, Prasanna recalled his association with MyMUL Director A.T. Somashekar in his march for occupying the MyMUL President’s post. Noting that Byadarahalli Milk Producer Co-operative Society is functioning in a disciplined manner, he said that such a discipline had resulted in the construction of the new building and the setting up of BMC Centre. Pointing out that K.R. Nagar has many dairies and BMC Centres, Prasanna said that a dairy will push economic growth of a village. At the same time, it is important that farmers maintain quality in milk supplies to the dairy, he added. He further said that he will build a similar BMC Centre at Periyapatna too.

MyMUL Directors A.T. Somashekar and Jagadish, Manager Dr. Sannathammegowda, Deputy Manager G.N. Santosh, Extension officers P. Yogesh, Jayanth Kumar, Nandini, Rashmi and Sumanth, Byadarahalli Dairy President Doreswamy, Vice-President Nagesh and others were present.
