Mysore/Mysuru: “A Fashion Show has been organised to provide financial support for the treatment of a person suffering from a kidney ailment,” announced President of Inner Wheel Club of Mysuru Aisiri Souhardhini N. Raj.
Addressing a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here yesterday, she mentioned that the Fashion Show is being organised in association with RK Universe Coorg on Aug. 27 between 5 pm and 8 pm at Sri Venkatakrishna Auditorium, Sarada Vilas Institutions, Krishnamurthypuram in city.
The contest will be held in three categories: Miss Mysuru (between 14 years and 30 years), Master Mysuru (between 10 years and 30 years), Mrs. Mysuru (between 30 years and 60 years) and Mr. Mysuru (between 30 years and 60 years). Budding models, professional models and other interested candidates may take part in the contest. Participants may wear western or traditional attire at the Fashion Show.
The amount collected from the Fashion Show contest will be donated to a patient requiring kidney transplantation. It is reported that the patient requires Rs. 1.10 lakh for the transplantation. Hence, this programme is being utilised to raise funds to assist the patient. Additionally, Abbott India Limited will conduct Thyroid check-up on the occasion from 10 am to 4 pm.
