Fatal accidents see a decline in the State including Mysuru

Mysore/Mysuru: Deaths in road accidents have declined in the State, stated ADGP (Traffic and Road Safety) Alok Kumar on his ‘X’ account along with the statistics.

The ADGP has posted that compared to May, June and July 2023, deaths due to road accidents in May, June and July 2024 have decreased.

In May 2023, 1,201 people had lost their lives while in May 2024, 1,012 people had died. In June 2023, 1,059 had died while in June this year 860 people had died. In July 2023, 862 had died while in July 2025, 802 persons died in road accidents.

Fatal accidents in Mysuru city limits have also seen a decline except in the month of May this year. While 14 persons were killed in road accidents in May 2023, a total of 21 persons lost their lives in May 2024. In June 2023, 15 persons had died while in June 2024, 10 persons had lost their lives. In July 2023, 14 persons were killed while in July 2024, 12 persons had lost their lives in fatal road accidents, the ADGP has posted.
