Mysuru: The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru, is organising a two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on ‘Heat Transfer and its Applications’ on Mar.2 and Mar. 3.
This programme will be inaugurated tomorrow by chief guest Dr. T. Sundararajan, Institute Chair Professor, IIT Madras at VVCE Training and Placement seminar hall at 9.30 am. Gundappa Gowda, President, Vidyavardhaka Sangha, will preside. P. Vishwanath, Secretary and S. N. Lakshminarayana, Treasurer, will be the guests of honour. Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE, Dr. L. J. Sudev, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, programme coordinators, faculty members and participants will be present on the occasion.
Dr. S. A. Mohan Krishna and Prof. C.S. Thamme Gowda are the coordinators for this programme which aims to impart knowledge on basic concepts, governing laws, principles and applications of heat transfer.
Dr. T. Sundararajan, IIT Madras, Dr. G. S. V. L. Narasimham, Principal Research Scientist, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, Dr. T. R. Seetharam, Chair Professor in Thermal Engineering, PESIT, Bengaluru and Dr. K. N. Seetharamu, PESIT, Bengaluru, are the resource persons.
A visit to ISHRAE VVCE Showcase has also been arranged on Mar. 3 to impart practical aspects and applications pertaining to the subject. The teaching faculty belonging to Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering and Industrial Production can participate in this programme.
