Mysuru: Marking the 42nd anniversary of ‘Vaidya Vartha,’ the popular Kannada Ayurveda monthly magazine, the publishers of the magazine, along with Karnataka Vaidya Sahitya Parishat (KVSP), had organised a function at the Institution of Engineers-India (IEI), Mysuru Chapter premises, on JLB Road here recently.
Dr. Bheemeshwara Joshi, Dharmakartaru of Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple in Horanadu, Chikmagalur district, inaugurated the programme.
Dr. Madhu Dikshit Guruji, Founder-President of Mayankara Gurukula Peetha, Mysuru, delivered the keynote address.
Former Minister M. Shivanna presided. B.R. Nataraj Jois, President of Sandhya Suraksha Trust, Mysuru, MyLac Chairman H.A. Venkatesh, MCCI President A.S. Satish and others were present.
Releasing the anniversary issue of the magazine, KVSP Chairman Dr. Sharath Kumar observed that assaults of doctors by relatives of patients were on the rise in hospitals which was detrimental to morale of doctors and was affecting other patients.
He advised the people to approach the Medical Council of India (MCI) for any grievances against any doctor which will do the needful instead of taking law into their own hands to vent their despair and anger.
Doctors A.S. Mukesh, S.M. Sameera, Sriram, Shivaram and Manoj Kumar were felicitated on the occasion.
