Mysore/Mysuru: Noted Bharatanatyam Dancer Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy and veteran singer Vidushi H.R. Leelavathi from Mysuru, who are the recipients of “Central Sangeet Natak Akademi Award” from the President of India, will be felicitated by Kalandika Academy of Arts in association with Kaynes Technology India Limited in city on Apr. 29.
The coveted Central Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards were presented to them on Feb.23 by President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi for their contributions to Bharatanatyam classical dance and Sugama Sangeetha (Light Music).
The felicitation function will be held tomorrow at 6 pm at RamaGovinda Rangamandira in Ramakrishnanagar. The stage programme will be followed by a Bharatanatyam recital in Vasundhara style by Naatya Vidushi Dr. Vasundhara.
