K. Ramachandra, a famous Gamaki, who has been conferred Kumara-vyasa award recently, will be felicitated at a programme organised by the city’s ‘Parampare’ organisation at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road at 6 pm today (Mar.26). Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion, while Sanskrit Scholar Dr. H.V. Nagaraja Rao will deliver the felicitation address. Nadoja Dr. T.V. Venkatachala Shastry will preside.
Krishnagiri Ramachandra (K. Ramachandra) retired after serving in Karnataka Irrigation Department for many years. Ramachandra developed interest in Literature, Music and Gamaka arts since his younger days and later blossomed as a noted Gamaka singer. He has won many awards and prizes for his excellence in Gamaka, with Kumaravyasa award being the latest.
