Mysuru lad and top-seed Suraj R. Prabodh scored a well-earned win over Aram Bhatia 6-3, 6-1 and entered the quarter-finals in the men’s singles event in Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship-2017 played at DLTA Complex in Delhi yesterday.
In the first round tie, Suraj had scored a good win over Odisha’s Ansu Kumar Buyan 7-6 (8), 3-6, 6-3 and progressed further. In the men’s doubles, Suraj partnering Sinha beat the second seeded pair of Eshaq Iqbal and Anurag Nenwani 6-7(3), 6-3, 10-5 and entered the semi-finals.
Mysuru lad and fifth seeded S.D. Prajwal Dev lost to Manish Suresh Kumar (TN) 3-6, 4-6 in another first round encounter.
