Mysuru: The Department of Handlooms and Textiles, in association with Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation, has invited applications from shelterless weavers employed in the unorganised sector, for availing financial assistance for construction of homes and manufacturing facility.
Weavers employed in the handloom industry and own residential sites, can avail financial assistance from Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation for construction of houses.
The beneficiaries will be released grants based on GPS enabled progress reports. Shelterless weavers who own sites can avail this benefit, according to a press release issued by the Deputy Director of Handlooms and Textiles Department.
