The Horticulture Department, Mysuru, has implemented several technical and mechanical programmes under CHD Scheme in the year 2023-24. With respect to this, the Department has invited applications from farmers belonging to General category, SC and ST farmers to avail loan facilities to purchase agricultural equipment. Fifty percent financial aid will be provided to SC and ST farmers to buy equipment under the CHD Scheme while 40 percent financial assistance will be given to general category farmers to buy solar pumps. However, 50 percent financial aid will be provided for small, micro farmers and women farmers belonging to SC and ST community.
A financial aid up to Rs. 1 lakh will be provided to buy 3HP Solar Pump Set which actually costs Rs. 2 lakh. For 5 HP Solar Pump Set which is originally at the cost of Rs. 3 lakh, 50% that is up to Rs. 1.5 lakh financial assistance will be provided. Farmers must by the Pump Sets from the approved companies.
