Financial dispute: Man held for forcibly taking away car of former partner

Mysuru: Udayagiri Police have arrested a man for forcibly taking away the car of his former business partner besides issuing threats at Rajivnagar here yesterday.

The man, who forcibly took away the car, has been identified as Irfan Pasha, a resident of Rajivnagar here, while his former business partner has been identified as Chand Pasha, proprietor of Kaveri Emporium on Chamundi Hill Road.

It is learnt that Chand Pasha had taken Rs. 5 lakh from Irfan and had failed to return the same due to some reasons.

Yesterday, when Santosh, driver of Chand Pasha was taking the car, Irfan, who appeared all of a sudden with a petrol can, tried to pour petrol on the car and set it ablaze resulting in Santosh leaving the car and fleeing from the spot.

Irfan then shouted at Santosh, asking him to tell Chand Pasha to return the money and take back his car. Chand Pasha, who came to know about this, rushed to Udayagiri Police Station and lodged a complaint.

Udayagiri Inspector P.P. Santosh, who registered a case, arrested Irfan and seized the car he had forcibly taken. Irfan has been remanded to judicial custody.
