Fire erupts near Bamboo Bazar Railway track

Un-extinguished cigarette, carelessly thrown on dry leaves resulted in a fire close to the Railway track near Bamboo Bazar in city this noon. As soon as the fire began to spread from the bottom, alert Railway staff, using hand-held fire extinguishers doused the fire and prevented it from spreading further. But the fire had destroyed a few pipes belonging to the Railway Department. Later, Fire and Emergency Services personnel, who reached the spot along with a fire extinguishing vehicle, sprayed water on the flames and doused it completely.
