Mysore/Mysuru: Nanjangud Industries Association (NIA) along with Department of Factories and Boilers, Government of Karnataka and St. John’s Ambulance Association, Mysuru, have organised the 82nd training programme on first-aid for industrial workers and supervisors on Thursday (Nov. 23) from 9 am to 5 pm at Hotel Shree Guru Residency, JLB Road Cross, Mysuru.
There is a growing demand for first-aid training because of increased use of machines and electrical appliances in everyday work at home, workplace etc.
As per the statutory compliance, in every industry certain number of employees should be trained in first-aid and they should know the important procedure for treating the casualty. Moreover they should know the procedure of calling the ambulance and shifting the injured to the hospital for further treatment.
Narendra Babu, Joint Director of Factories, Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health, will inaugurate the programme. Dr. C. Rajesh Mishri Koti, Deputy Director of Factories, Mysuru, will preside.
The faculty for this programme will be Dr. B. Prakash, an experienced first-aid trainer from St. John’s Ambulance Association. The programme will be presented through lectures, discussions, case studies, interaction and demons. For details contact Mob: 88675-62266.
