Surya Sagar of the Academy of Martial Science was crowned the first WBC Super light weight Muaythai Champion of India on Sept. 4 at the FraggingMonk Fight Night-2 held in Bengaluru. The event was sanctioned by WBC, Muaythai, Thailand and hosted by WBC Muaythai India. Surya downed his opponent Basavesh in round 1 via a KO. Incidentally, Surya is the only Indian to win a fight in Max Muaythai promotion in Thailand. He is the son of cine actor Arun Sagar and Meera Sagar and trained by International Coach Kru. Vikram.
