With Dasara-2019 round the corner, authorities are busy with last minute touch up works to make Mysuru as attractive as possible. The lights on Ring Road have been activated exactly after one year much to the joy and bewilderment of the residents and motorists.
Joy, because the road looks beautiful and perplexed because someone thinks we don’t deserve these lights after we are done with Dasara festivities.
These lights come ON only during Dasara and go off again as if it is not needed for the people who live here or use the Road which is most of the times unsafe for two-wheeler riders.
Requesting the authorities concerned to continue to keep the Ring Road lit up at all times as a safety measure for residents who live by the Ring Road and also the motorists whose lives are at risk due to driving in pitch darkness. The darkness also attracts illegal and forbidden activities posing a danger to safety of citizens using the Road.
