Mysore/Mysuru: Vidu. Smitha Srikiran will present a flute recital at the heritage house of Mysore Vasudevacharya near Agrahara in city on May 26 at 10.30 am, as part of Acharya’s 160th birth anniversary celebrations. She will be accompanied by Vidu. Pruthvi Bhaskar on violin, Vid. A. Radhesh on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Kaushik on ghata.
Vidu. Smitha had her initial training in music from her mother Vijaya Subrahmanyam & mastered flute under the tutelage of late Vid. A.V. Prakash. She is also practicing vocal under Dr. R.N. Srilatha. Smitha is an ‘A’ graded artiste of AIR and Doordarshan. An ‘Ananya Yuva Pratibhe’ awardee, she is an empanelled artiste of ICCR, Govt. of India, since 2007. She has the credit of performing at G20 Summit-2023, during the dinner hosted by the President and the PM of India in New Delhi.
