Mysuru: Pandit Taranath Foundation, Mysuru, has organised a flute recital by Vid. Mysuru A. Chandan Kumar on Mar.10 at 6.15 pm at Bidaram Krishnappa Ramamandira in city. He will be accompanied by B.K. Raghu on violin and Adhamya Ramanand on mridanga.
Chandan Kumar hails from a family of musicians being the great grandson of violin maestro late T. Chowdaiah. Trained under Gurus like M. Gopalkrishna and P.S. Narayanaswamy, Chandan Kumar has risen to international level and has won Kendra Sangeeta Nataka Academy National Award, first time for a flautist. He has won many more awards and has performed at many places abroad. The entry for the music programme is free, according to a press release from the Foundation’s Managing Trustee Pandit Rajeev Taranath.
