Foreign students share varied cultural experiences

Mysuru, Sept. 3 (US)- World Organisation of Students (WOS) had organised a programme at Cauvery auditorium in Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) premises here on Friday last to facilitate foreign students to exchange views and experiences regarding their culture.

Inaugurating the programme Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) National Organising Secretary Sunil Ambedkar opined that the responsibility of protecting the environment and retaining the human values for a strong and healthy society rests on everybody. He observed that the Information Technology sector was developing at a super fast pace paving way for robots to do many tasks. However he pointed out that robots are just machines with no human values.

Addressing the students, KSOU Vice-Chancellor Dr. S. Vidyashankar asked the youth to maintain a sound mind and body and added that Fit India movement is a very good move. He added that the youth comprise 50% of the country’s population which should be effectively utilised. Book ‘21st Century Women Social in World’ was released on the occasion. WOS Head Dr. Rashmi Das, Organising Secretary Sanjiv Ninegombum, member Ahmed and Moshero were present on the occasion.
