Forest officers’ residential complex inaugurated

Mysuru: The newly built ‘Arjuna’ Residential Complex for Forest officers was inaugurated last evening at the Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL) campus on Manandavadi Road in Mysuru.

The housing complex was developed under the Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) scheme for the 2023-24 fiscal year.

Forest Minister Eshwar B. Khandre formally inaugurated the complex, which includes accommodations for frontline Forest personnel as well. The initiative aims to provide better living facilities and support infrastructure for Forest staff engaged in crucial conservation duties.

The event was attended by Krishnaraja MLA T.S. Srivatsa, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF – Wildlife)  Subhash K. Malkade, Additional PCCF Kumar Pushkar, Project Tiger Conservator Dr. P. Ramesh Kumar, Mysuru Circle Conservator Dr. M. Malathi Priya, Wildlife Division DCF Dr. I.B. Prabhu Gowda, Mysuru DCF Dr. Basavaraju and DCF P.A. Seema, among other senior Forest officials.
