Mysore/Mysuru: G.L.N. Ayya (97), an art patron and former President of Ganabharathi, passed away at his son’s residence in Bengaluru this morning.
He was a freedom fighter and was imprisoned for a few months during the Quit India Movement in 1942.
He leaves behind his son Vishwanath (advocate), daughter Nalini and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at Bengaluru today, according to a family sources.
Condolence: A meeting to condole the death of Ayya will be held at Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempunagar tomorrow at 5 pm, according to Dr. C.G. Narasimhan, President, Ganabharathi, Mysuru.
