Former Indian football player Narasimha passes away in city

Mysore/Mysuru: P. Narasimha (80), who had represented the Indian Football team, passed away at his residence in Dodda Vokkalageri in city yesterday.

He leaves behind his wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this morning, according to family sources.

While working at Ideal Jawa factory, Narasimha was playing in the football team of the factory and later played for the district, State and the country. He was a part of the Indian football team for the 6th President Cup Football Tournament held at Seoul in South Korea in 1976, where he played his best. He had also served as the Administrative Board Member of Karnataka State Football Association.
