Mysuru: R.G. Narasimha Iyengar (75), former Mayor, senior Advocate and a resident of Khille Mohalla, passed away yesterday in Bengaluru.
He leaves behind his wife Vijayalakshmi and a host of relatives and friends. His son had predeceased him a couple of years ago.
Narasimha had quit JD(S) and had joined the Congress Party recently. He was the President of Srikantha Vidya Samsthe in city and had also served as the President of Cosmopolitan Club.
Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon.
