Bengaluru: Upset for not being allowed to speak at the Bahubali Mahamastakabhisheka at Shravanabelagola recently, former PM and JD(S) Supremo Deve Gowda on Saturday hit out at Chief Minister Siddharamaiah and termed him as a ‘Neecha.’
Addressing party workers at Kengeri on the outskirts of Bengaluru yesterday, the former PM lamented that he had committed a blunder by grooming Siddharamaiah in politics.
Maintaining that he knows how to dislodge Siddharamaiah from the seat of power, Deve Gowda said that he would apologise to the people of the State for grooming such a ‘Neecha’ (wretched/villainous) Chief Minister.
Stating that grooming Siddharamaiah was the biggest mistake of his life, Deve Gowda said that with Sonia Gandhi becoming less powerful in the party and the Congress tasting defeat in almost every State, Siddharamaiah had begun to act like a dictator. Terming Siddharamaiah as a low-level politician, Deve Gowda reiterated that he knows how to script his (Siddharamaiah) downfall.
