K.R. Pet: K. Yunus Khan (92), former Taluk Panchayat Member, passed away yesterday.
Elder brother of former Union Minister K. Rahman Khan, Yunus Khan leaves behind a son, two daughters, three brothers including Rahman Khan and former Town Municipal Council (TMC) President K. Gouse Khan and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed in the town yesterday.
Yunus Khan had served as the Member of Taluk Hospital Arogya Raksha Samiti and as Member of College Development Board of Government First Grade College for Women here.
In the 1980s, he was running a handicrafts shop near Jaganmohan Palace in Mysuru city.
Condoled: Minister K.C. Narayanagowda, former MLAs K.B. Chandrashekar and B. Prakash, Founder-Editor of Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra K.B. Ganapathy, former Karnataka Urban Development Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC) Chairman M.D. Krishnamurthy and Block Congress President Kikkeri Suresh have condoled the death of Yunus Khan.
