Mysuru: Save University of Mysore Forum has demanded the Centre to institute a CBI enquiry into the fake marks card racket in Karnataka State Open University (KSOU).
Addressing a press conference at Patrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, Forum President M.J. Suresh Gowda said that including the fake marks card and violation of UGC rules, there are several other irregularities that have occurred in KSOU. As a result, it has impacted the lives of lakhs of students in the University.
Besides, entering into MoUs with private institutions to run technical courses, certificates are being issued. Hence, the Government should immediately interfere and institute a high-level enquiry during the period of earlier Vice-Chancellors who are allegedly involved in the scams, he urged.
