Stolen items worth Rs. 10 lakh recovered
Mysuru: Vijayanagar Police have arrested four persons on charges of stealing electric motors from a factory in Hebbal and have recovered the stolen items besides seizing two goods vehicles, all worth Rs. 10 lakh from them.
Those arrested are 52-year-old Salim Pasha alias Ladda Kaleem of Goripalya, 36-year-old Mohammed Tousif Pasha of Kalasipalya and 30-year-old Salman Khan of Padarayanapura, all in Bengaluru and 38-year-old Mujahid Khan alias Maimun of Chinthamani in Chikkaballapur taluk.
On Nov. 30, the four accused, who gained entry into Dechem Resins Limited in Hebbal by forcibly opening the rolling shutters, made away with electric motors and iron items from the factory. Based on the complaint, Vijayanagar Inspector Suresh Kumar had registered a case and conducted an investigation.
Following information, the Police, on Dec. 7, stopped two goods vehicles KA-51-AA-5556 and KA-41-A-8270 on suspicion on KRS Road and inspected the vehicles during which they came to know that the two vehicles were transporting the stolen items.
The Cops, who brought both the vehicles and its occupants to the Police Station and interrogated them during which the Police came to know that the four occupants of the two goods vehicles were thieves and arrested them.
Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered electric motors and iron items worth Rs. 3 lakh, besides seizing two goods vehicles worth Rs. 7 lakh from them.
Accused Salim Pasha has a robbery case registered against him at Udayagiri Police Station, murder case at Mandi Police Station and had gone absconding. Another accused Mujahid Khan has robbery cases registered against him at Chikkaballapur and at Nandi Police Station. Mohammed Tousif is involved in a murder case at Kalasipalya Police limits.

Pradeep, Kumar, Manju, Shyamsundar and others in the nabbing and recovery operation.
