Four boys escape from Government School for Deaf

Mysuru: Four boys of the Government School for the Deaf have escaped from their school at Tilak Nagar in city. A complaint has been lodged by school Superintendent at Mandi Mohalla Police Station. In the complaint, authorities of the school that comes under the Department for Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens have stated that the boys were found missing from the night of June 23.

The students are 15-year-old Mohan, 17-year-old Dhamu 16-year-old Sonu Kumar and 15-year-old Raj Majeed. All of them are hearing impaired. According to the complaint, the boys had dinner on June 23 at 11.45 pm and were sleeping inside their rooms that are within the school complex.

They later cut open the grills of the toilet and escaped. The incident came to light the next day (June 24) as the boys were missing for breakfast. Immediately the school authorities launched a search and they even informed the local residents.

The residents too searched in the nearby areas and they failed to trace the boys. All the boys were orphans, said the school authorities. The school management had sent a proposal to the government to raise the boundary walls of the school but that is still pending approval.
