Mysuru: A four-day Avarebele Mela, organised by city’s Pataka Mannar’s, began at Allamma Choultry on Vinobha Road this morning.
Speaking after inaugurating the mela, Karnataka Pradesh Hotel and Restaurants Association State President M. Rajendra observed that this was the biggest event taking place in the city after Dasara, Akhika Bharath Kannada Sahitya Sammelana.
Mysuru Hotel Owners Association President C. Narayanagowda, Hotelier Ravi Shastri, Mysuru Travels Association President B.S. Prashanth, Pataka Mannar’s owner Nikhil and others were present.
A wide range of more than 70 plus varieties of delicious sweets and savouries made of Avarebele, including Hithkabele Holige, Bili Holige, Avarebele Dosa, Hithkabele Saru, Avarebele Masala Idli, Avarebele Uppittu, Avarekai Pulav, Avarekai Husli etc., are available.
The Mela will be open between 11 am and 10 pm and will conclude on Jan. 28.
